Leading marketing technology provider ShortStack recently analysed over two million 'autoresponder' emails to discover some remarkable stats. Autoresponders are the emails that are automatically sent to those entering an online promotion, such as a sweepstake or competition.
ShortStack found that clients using its email autoresponder feature were achieving these results:
- Delivery rate: +95.4% (entrants are using their real email addresses)
- Open rate of 50.43% (many times better than typical newsletter open rates)
- 5 x better click-through rate vs. typical newsletter emails
So, this shows how autoresponders are a great way to stay connected with visitors after a contest or other promotion.
